Officine Benelli Museum
The motorcycle in Pesaro is passion, work, sport , history, culture, but it is also the vehicle that expresses the personality of this city, ready to get involved and compete.
The Officine Benelli Museum is a reality born out of the collaboration of the City of Pesaro’s Moto Club T. Benelli and the Benelli Historical Register, joined by a partnership with the Terra di Piloti e Motori Association.
In the 1,000 square meters, the last example of Pesaro’s industrial archeology, the historic headquarters of the metal mechanical company that helped write the city’s history, 150 Benelli and MotoBi motorcycles from the first models of the 1920s to current production are now on permanent exhibition.
The extraordinary story of the six Benelli brothers is narrated by members of the two associations that run the museum and engage visitors in a unique setting due to the fact that the motorcycles exhibited were designed and built right inside. Then the amazing stories of the riders, from Tonino Benelli to Valentino Rossi first and last of a generation of centaurs who have fascinated thousands of fans contribute to enrich a pleasant visit to the motorcycle world of an area unquestionably rich in history.
New in 2021, since Saturday, May 29, the Morbidelli Collection, consisting of 71 historic motorcycles purchased by ASI, has been temporarily housed on the museum’s main floor, and it is possible to have interactive experiences: four multimedia totems and two big screens allow visitors to consult unpublished material, original documents, photographs and videos related to the motorcycle models in the museum.
